All you have to do is type the channel's name, regardless of what section of the interface you have selected, and the option for going to that channel will pop up in the lower-left corner of the window.

The software provides you with a broad range of options in its setup menus. Besides managing TV sources, channels and networks, you can find a large number of advanced options, for all sorts of functionality tweaks. For example, the software can be scheduled to record automatically and you can also set it to wake the computer and to start recording a few minutes earlier.
